26 October: My treatment continued. Night cold. At seven thirty in the morning, the thermometer registered 2 1/2°R [37. 6°F, 3.1°C]. Mr. Say and Dr. Sexton paid an early visit. Mr. Bodmer was also taking medicine. Mr. Say afterward sent us engravings for our diversion. He, too, was ailing, as was our landlord.
