On24 July in the morning, I visited the Peale Museum, and Mr. Peale showed me many interesting duplicate specimens, which he had brought back from Latin America, from Santa Fe, and other places. Since his journey there, he has been suffering from a fever. A visit at the home of Mr. Krumbhaar strengthened me in my resolve to travel to Bethlehem and to look for a place in that area where we could begin our work in natural history.
