11 August: In the morning we were busy with scientific tasks. Dreidoppel is better again; I am still not well. At twelve o’clock noon, temperature of 18°R [72.5°F, 22.5°C] in my room with Venetian blinds and open windows and doors. No excursions were made today. Dreidoppel worked on the Ondatra, which we dissected in the afternoon. Mr. Bodmer sketched at home, but Mr. Moser went botanizing and saw several interesting animals, including three hares.
