Siksika Blackfeet Man

Description

An inscription on this sketch, dated September 4 identifies the subject as the leader of a Siksika war party. His facial features resemble those of Ihkas-K’ÛÎ_nne, the Siksika chief pictured in the following plate, but he could also be one of the many other Blackfeet men who besieged the inhabitants of Fort McKenzie that day with requests for goods and gifts.
