Unusual Formations on the Upper Missouri

Description

This undated view describing an outcropping of strata along the banks of the Missouri is presumed to have been made in the region of the White Castles below the mouth of the Musselshell River. A handwritten notation reads "Quite like a wall erected from squared blocks. The background formation is pale sandstone."
