It dropped one foot last night and was still dropping. Today I received two [susliks] maschirónika (Arctomys hoodii). Dreidoppel found the big lark on the creek. At twelve o’clock, 78°F [25.6°C]. Light southeast wind. The Indians held a racenear race near their village. The ice continued to float, but [there was] less [of it]. [A] nice, calm, pleasant evening. At nine o’clock, 55°F [12.8°C]. Thunderstorm in the evening.
